Models & Modeling

Would you like to become a model, do you have what it takes to get up early sit for hours in makeup, have people mess with your clothes. Are you reliable, genuine, hard working,enthusiastic and fun? Well if you are all these things and a cute female 18+ then contact us today. We will need from you the following details:

Height, weight, hair color and length, eye color number of eyes ( Just Kidding ) bust, waist and hip sizes, shoe size, real or enhanced breasts. Tattoos, do you have any ? I know this seems like a lot of information but it saves time if we get this out of the way at first. Along with your personal details please include a few pictures of yourself, nude if possible or in a bikini will do fine. Have a boyfriend or girlfriend shoot a few Polaroid's, we don't need professional photographs! Please also indicate if you live in San Diego / LA or if you will have to travel to us from out side CA.

Some Advice

In view of recent postings on other message boards I felt I must add perhaps the most important requirement in becoming a model Communication. If you have a genuine desire to become a professional model you must be able to communicate you feelings and wishes to all people associated with you assignments or projects. If for some reason you are unable to make a shoot, let the photographer know, let the make up artist know, let someone know . If you just flake its very unlikely that you will get much work on the web as most photographers will talk to others or place a posting on one of the forum. Its not only models that Flake I have seen postings about photographer's as well, so please . please communicate it will save a lot of time and trouble.

When replying to messages on our, or any forum, please be careful. Always ask for at least two references with phone #s. A web site is no indication that a photographer is legitimate. Using Dreamweaver 4, a child can construct a passable site in just a few days. So again, ask for references and phone #s. Get contact #s addresses for the shoot you are going on so should anything happen you can call and let the photographer know what's going on. If you feel uneasy about anything or decide you don't want to shoot let the photographer know, its the very least you can do as a professional!!!

Contracts

Also be very careful about signing contracts with so called agents or managers. Most agencies charge you a fee, 15% of you modeling fee on each job they get you, it can be a very large amount of money should you become a well know model. If you just want to obtain work via the Internet I see no reason to have anyone manage you. If you want to break into main stream work then they can be extremely helpful. But ask around don't just sign with the first company you see.

Portfolios

TFP or "time for prints" can be very useful in getting your portfolio started, do not go straight out and spend $5000 on pictures before you even know if your going to like modeling, with the advent of the web you can book a few test jobs to see if you are going to continue pursuing this career.

Set you limits

Before traveling to a photographer or studio, make sure you have made them well aware of your modeling limitation, If you are willing to do Nude, Erotic or Hard-core work say so. If you only want to do Playboy style put that in your e-mail's. That way there should be no embarrassing moments.

Most important!!

Have fun, this is a fun business and photos or videos should be a good and enjoyable experience. Not always easy when you may have to sit in makeup for two hours and look happy in a freezing ocean
